Swanson - Managing Director
Sgt.
Gunnar
Swanson served within the North Dakota Army National Guard
for eight years, and is a veteran of
Operation Iraqi Freedom as crew
chief for
the building of assault float bridge operations.
He
also launched a successful personal fitness training
business and has a degree in psychology.
Dina Fesler- Executive
Director
Dina
has had more than 20 years experience working in small
business development in the fashion
industry, and has run her own business for the past 15 years. She
founded Children's Culture Connection in October 2005. War Kids
Relief has been a CCC-supported charity since December
2005, however, in July 2008 the original War Kids Relief
closed to be re-developed
as a new CCC in-house
program.
Charles
London - Curriculum Development
Charles
London has spent 7 years working with vulnerable and marginalized
youth, as a research associate with Refugees International focusing
on war-affected children, and as the program coordinator and teacher
trainer for Kaplan’s Inc.’s Supplemental Educational Services
program. He has also worked as the Young Adult Librarian at a branch
of the New York Public Library in Central Harlem, implementing
programs to engage city youth outside of school time. He is the
author of One Day the
Soldiers Came: Voices of Children and War
(HarperPerennial)
